Lead by The Sallie Mae Fund
The workshop is designed to increase awareness among high school students and their parents that a higher education is accessible. This seminar covers a wide range of topics including:
- The benefits of continuing an education beyond high school;
- The affordability of college through various types of financial aid available (i.e., grants, scholarships and loans); and
- Resources available to help families prepare for the college admissions process.
One lucky future college student at each workshop will win a $500 scholarship.

LEAP to complete the OneApp, get TAGged for College!
Lead by the D.C. Office of the State Superintendent of Education
The seminar will focus on filling out the DC OneApp online, and preparing for college financially.
The DC OneApp is the online application for the District's three higher education financial aid grant programs: DC Tuition Assistance Grant Program (DCTAG), DC Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program (DCLEAP), and the DC Adoption Scholarship (DCAS).
