The McDonald’s Educates Scholarship Program of Greater Washington, D.C. honors outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional scholastic skills, leadership, and financial need. McDonald’s believes it is important to recognize young people who make a positive difference in their communities and is proud to honor those students through scholarship opportunities. The franchisees of McDonald’s Family Restaurants of Greater Washington, D.C. have always placed a high value on education and to date have awarded over $1,000,000 to local students through this annual scholarship program.

The McDonald's Educates Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors whose high school is located within the Greater Washington, D.C. area—including the District of Columbia and portions of Maryland, Northern Virginia, and West Virginia.
